Presentation Requirements

  • Internet: Wireless internet available from the presentation computer.
  • File Formats: Acceptable formats include PowerPoint (2016 or higher, .ppt.pptx) and PDF.
  • Media Compatibility: Ensure embedded video/audio files use standard codecs.
  • Storage Medium: Bring your presentation on a USB flash drive.
  • Tech Check-In:
    – Visit the Tech Desk at least a day before your session.
    – For same-day sessions, check in at least 2 hours prior.

Technical Instructions

  • Poster Size: A0 (841 x 1189 mm), vertical layout.
  • Title: Bold, title case, centered at the top.
  • Author Details: Clearly display names/affiliations; presenting author indicated with an asterisk (*) or underline.
  • Logos: Institution logo on the top left; additional logos on the top right.
  • Readability: Ensure text is legible from one meter away.
  • Handouts: Optionally bring handouts or sign-up sheets for attendees.

Poster Setup & Presentation

  • Posters are assigned numbers and session times, provided in advance.
  • Hang posters at least 1 hour prior to the session in numerical order.
  • Pushpins: Bring your own; extras available if needed.
  • Remove posters after the session to avoid loss or damage.

Visual Layout Suggestions

  • Header Image: A sleek, thematic image representing innovation, technology, or collaboration.
  • Icons: Use simple icons for each section (e.g., a microphone for oral presentations, a board for posters).
  • Side-by-Side Sections: Present guidelines and requirements in two-column format where possible.
  • Typography: Use bold headers and bullet points for quick readability.
