Abstract
Using a combination of mathematical and numerical models, this study gives complete assessment characteristics of flow in a typical spillway ogee-crested. A detailed comparison of water surface profiles, velocity distributions, and pressure data is essential for the investigation. Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) is used to build the model numerically by solving the Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes equations. The research verifies the correctness and dependability of the computational approach by showing a significant connection between the numerical and theoretical models across several parameters. As a result, engineers now have more alternatives for constructing and studying ogee spillways, taking advantage of the availability and computational capability of modern technologies.
Keywords: modeling, simulation, ogee crested weir, Ansys-Fluent, water surface profile.
