ان الشخص المستقر نفسيا هو الانسان القادر على تكوين تكامل في حياته الاجتماعية والوظيفية والعملية من هذا المنطق برزت أهمية البحث وتحددت أهدافه في التعرف على : 1- الاستقرار النفسي لدى لاعبي كرة السلة في بطولة اندية غرب اسيا 2- التعرف على الاستقرار النفسي لدى لاعبي كرة السلة وعلاقته بنتيجة المباراة .وتم استخدام المنهج الوصفي بأسلوب المقارن لملائمته لطبيعة البحث ، وشملت عينة البحث لاعبي الأندية المشاركة ببطولة غرب اسيا لكرة السلة على التوالي، نادي الكرخ( العراق) ،نادي دهوك (العراق) نادي بتروشيمي (ايران) ، نادي ماهان (الايراني) ، نادي جامعة العلوم التطبيقية (الاردن) ، نادي لبنان ، سوريا. والبالغ عددهم (75 ) لاعب .ولمعالجة البيانات احصائيا تم استخدام الحزمة spss لإيجاد (الوسط الحسابي ، المتوسط الحسابي ،معامل الارتباط البسيط ، تحليل التباين) . ومن عرض النتائج ومناقشتها تم التوصل الى ان معظم اللاعبين يمتلكون استقرار نفسي في مستوى ادائهم الجيد في المنافسة .اغلب اللاعبين الذي لديهم الاستقرار النفسي في المنافسة يساعدهم في الدافعية للفوز بالمباراة .وفي ضوء ذلك يوصي الباحثون على المدربين مراعاة جانب الاعداد النفسي لما له اثر بالغ في عملية انتظام سلوكية اللاعبين داخل المباراة .
