Ziman û şêwaz, xisûsen di berhemên edebî de çi di afirandina berheman de be çi di xemilandina vegotinê de be, pir bandoreke mezin li ser edebiyatê dikin. Helbestvan û nivîskar bi xêra ziman û şêwazê xwe didin nasîn û taybetmendiyên xwe kifşe dikin. Em li gorî ziman û şêwaza helbestvan, wî û berhema/ên wî ji hev cuda dikin û teknîka vegotina wî dinasin.
Helbestvanê Kurd, Seyid ʻEliyê Findikî jî ji ber ku Kurd bûye bi zimanê zikmakî dîwana xwe nivîsiye. Em dibînin ku di dîwanê de ẋeynî du menzûmên ʻErebî û menzûmeke Farisî, hemî menzûm bi Kurdî (Kurmancî) hatine nivîsîn. Di helbestên wî yên Kurdî de jî bandora zimanê ʻErebî, Farisî û Tirkî tê dîtin. Ji ber ku di dîwanê de mebest ji lîrîzmê zêdetir şîret û rexne ye; zimanê dîwanê jî sade û fehmbar e. Ev yek fehm kirinê hêsan dike û yekîtîyê bi xwendevana ve peyda dike.
Şîretên miellif ku gelek caran li nefsa xwe dike jî taybetiyeke pir girîng e. Helbesta xwe ya yekemîn, duyemîn, sêyemîn, çaremîn, pêncemîn, hevdehemîn û bîst û nehemîn de jî heman rewş tê dîtin. Ẋeynî vê yekê, îfadeyên henekî ku hin caran bi kar anîne jî balkêş in. Di dîwanê de baweriyên gel, gotinên pêşiyan û xasma jî biwêj pir in. Ji bilî vê di helbestan de bikaranîna hunerên beyanê(teşbîh, isti’are, te’rîz, mecaz û kinaye)henin. Şêwaza tehkiyeyê(çîrokî gotin) jî dide nîşan ku Seyid ʻEliyê Findikî ji edebiyata gelêrî jî haydar bûye.
